LOOKING FORWARD TO RACING MOTOR MILE
| DAWSONVILLE, Ga. (July 15, 2010) – It could best be described as a case of “like father, like son.” Chase Elliott will race this weekend with his wrist in a splint, a small reminder of an off-road motorcycle crash that left him with a chipped right wrist. His father, Sprint Cup driver Bill Elliott, injured his ribs last year while riding his off-road bike.
Chase Elliott’s doctors had the break in a cast for the last two weeks, but after the review of the x-ray on Thursday, the cast was taken off and replaced with a splint. Elliott’s personal physician Dr. James Heaton gave Elliott clearance to resume driving race cars. “His wrist injury should not affect his racing nor should racing have any effect on his wrist injury, said Heaton. Elliott hopes to be a contender in the Heritage Truck Centers 250 on July 17th at Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, Va. This will be Elliott’s third start of the season in the USAR series with his Aaron’s Ford Fusion. |
